WELCOME TO THE ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION WEB RING

Welcome to the ADRblog Web RingWelcome to the portal for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Web Ring, a place for anyone with an interest in alternative dispute resolution to share their web-based creations.

This is an open invitation to mediators, conciliators, negotiators, arbitrators, attorneys, collaborative professionals, conflict resolution educators, peer mediators, peace-builders, trainers, social entrepreneurs, and dispute resolution professionals of all varieties. And to people from all backgrounds--corporate, higher education, hi-tech, social services, religious, medical, legal, governmental, political, community--and whether your orientation is local, national, international, or cyberspace.

If you have a blog, web site, wiki, directory, search engine, or online community, and your focus is on alternative dispute resolution, conflict management, or peace-building processes, we want to know about it. Join our ring and get your web site listed so the rest of us can see what you've been up to.

And even if you're not sure your web site belongs, let us be the judge of that. We'd like to be inclusive, not exclusive.

FIVE SIMPLE RULES FOR JOINING THE ADR WEB RING

Rules of Etiquette for Joining Our RingWe want you to join this ring. That's why we try to make it as easy as possible for you. So we have just a few simple rules for you to keep in mind.

Rule One: You must have a web site--some place in cyberspace where you own real estate. If your site is currently under construction, please join us later when it's ready for prime time.

Rule Two: Your site must be relevant to the alternative dispute resolution field. If your site is about orchid-growing or how to housetrain ferrets (not that we have anything against those things), then this ring is probably not the best fit for you.

Rule Three: To activate your membership, our Web Ring's HTML code in your web site That's how we spread the word. It won't take up much room. We promise. When your membership is approved, you'll get instructions on how to include the code on your site.

Rule Four: We reserve the right to decline membership in the ring or to terminate membership for any reason. Reasons could include the fact that your site 1) is not about ADR, 2) is defamatory, 3) promotes violence, discrimination, or illegal activities, or 4) contains sexually explicit material. (Sorry about Reason #4--but hey, our mothers visit this web ring.)

Rule Five: Only kidding. There is no Rule Five. Just wanted to see if you were paying attention.

If you have any questions or concerns about these guidelines, please let us know.
